Congratulations to junior Josh Ong for winning all 5 games in the Burleigh Reserve Rapid last night at the GCCC. After a strong weekend of chess at the QLD Interschool Teams Finals Josh was able to carry his great form into a super performance at the club last night. Current GCCC Rapid Champion, Marek Breeden was 2nd with 4/5 continuing his display of skill in his favoured time control. It was great to see a few new players at the club and many friendly games held between rounds. Meanwhile the 2022 Titles matches were being held on the DGTs and congratulations to 2022 Club Champion Kerry Stead for his victory. Other titles and trophies were won by Peter Lucas (Senior), Alex Feldblyum (U16) and Kotaro Inukai (U12). More on this match to come in a later post.
